Dual Booting Step by Step Video
How to do a bootable USB drive.
- Go to your browser and search for Ventoy. It is an open-source tool to create a bootable USB drive for ISO file.
- Here is a link to download Ventoy.

- After you have downloaded Ventoy we will now go ahead and extract the zip file. Then open it and search for Ventoy2Disk as shown below to be able to install it.
- So now this pop up will be display and now you will be able install Ventoy on your flash Drive. Keep in mind that installing Ventoy on your flash drive will reset all the data you may have on it.
- Now that your flash drive is ready you will now download windows 11 or any other version of window's operating system to use for the dual booting.

- Also, you will need Ubuntu for the dual booting or any other version of linux operating system.

- After you have your two operating systems on your device. Now you will drag both files to your flash drive that has the Ventoy as in reference to the image below. When the two file have finished downloading you will be able to use the flash drive to do the dual booting.
- Now to do the dual booting you will need to reset the computer you will be using. You will need to press F12 when starting for the computer to reset. Then a screen like the one below will be displayed to select the USB you will be utilizing.
- The next step is to choose the operating system you want to install.
- Now choose the default option which is "Boot in normal mode".
- On this step you will choose the language you want to use.
- For this step you will go ahead and install the operating system.
- For this step you press "I don't have a product key".
- For this section we choose the windows 10 pro. Then hit the next button.
- After the previous step you will accept the policies. You will choose the option of custom installation.
- Now go ahead and delete all the partitions it has. Then you will now create your partition which we used 500000 MB for demonstration because it depends how much space you have available.
- For this step you will choose the region. Then press continue with limited setup. Next create your password and choose three questions
- To install Ubuntu or Kubuntu you will repeat some steps as above. First press F12 to restart the computer and be able continue. Then chose the USB you will continue using and select Kubuntu which is the one we are using.
- After this you will continue as "Boot in normal mode". And next we will install Kubuntu and choose the installation button.
- For the next step you will choose the zone in which you are located.
- You will then continue with the default options until you reach to the part as shown below. Then select manual partition.
- For the partition section you will go to the one that says free space and create an efi file with 200MB, file system choose fat32, mount point efi and then boot.
- Up next create a swap file with 10000 MB, file system will be linux swap and then swap.
- For this step for the mount point place a / and select boot.
- In this section you will create a name and a password.
- Now press install then wait for the installation to process.
- After the installation has finished you will enter the password to sign in.
- Lastly you have your Kubuntu installed along with windows 10.
